I’ve lived in Bogotá all my life and I know that this city is very dangerous, because there is a lot of insecurity. You must be careful all the time, especially in the nights, when there are no people around. By the way this city is amazing, you can find a lot of great things and wonderful places, many cultures and stuff. However, there are some things that I don’t like, such as robbery and vandalism. These things are quite common, that’s the reason you must be careful all the time. If you’re going to the center of city or the south, when the insecurity is everywhere, you must see who’s behind you because you don’t know when you’re going to be robbed. This is what experts say on the topic of the robbery in Bogota: “We feel unprotected and today there is no clear speech in Bogota that manages to conquer the fear of the people - who can be royal(real) or unreal - to being a victim of a robbery. The numbers (figures) are not enough and the Mayoralty must say to us which sound these policies across campaigns that the people should know ", annotated Jairo liberos Expert in safety, teacher of criminology of the university Externado, in a article of El Tiempo, of this year.
The robbers here make vandalism into an art, because for example, you’re waling around and suddenly in a few seconds you don’t have your cell phone, or just you don’t have your money. These are the things I don’t like most of this city. By the way, another thing I really hate is the traffic, because always in the mornings the traffic is bad and you can easily get stuck. When I take the bus, it always comes late and full, and in many times I’ve had to enter into the bus by the back door. Also, if you’re going in Trasmilenio you’ve got to be careful, and always watch out, because there are many people and those busses are full every time, so you can easily lose your things. So there are two things I loath of this city, they are, the traffic and the insecurity.
