KITESURF


kiteboarding is a surface water sport that uses wind power to pull a rider through the water on a small surfboard or a 

kiteboard.

The kites using started in th 13th century in China. But it started like a sport in the 1990's.

The basic equipment is:

harness

Board

Kite

Direction bar

4 cords

When you want to learn this extreme sport, you first learn what things conform your basic equipment, then you start learning how to control the kite in the land. After that you learnd Bodydrag, that is to move with the ki

te in the wather but without the board, so what you are doing, is to surf on your own body. And finally you learn how to surf with the board in the wather.

Kitesurf is becoming safer everyday. The kite has many security, it has the normal brake, a security brake and a cord, that is used on emergency situations, when you cant stop the kite and you are in a big danger, what the cord does, is to drop the kite.

You can practice this sport in 2 differents ways... the firs is making just races... and the other is making jumps and skills.  This two styles are practiced with differents kites and boards.

The person that has the records in this sport is a Spanish girl named Gisela Pulido, she has been champion of the world many years and with just 12 years old.
